11 Sep - Something Spooky, Something FREE & Something Sweet!
Well, I think we can officially say Halloween stitching has started here at Kreative Kiwi!
I’ve been having so much fun with this week’s projects, and we have a little bit of everything for you — a brand-new set of cute Halloween coasters, a super quick FREEBIE, plus a beautiful little project that isn’t Halloween at all.
So whether you’re already reaching for the orange and black fabrics or you just fancy a quick handmade gift, there’s something new for you this week.
Let's get stitching!
NEW – In the Hoop Peeking Halloween Coasters
You might recognise the idea behind these!
After how much you enjoyed our Peeking Animal Coasters, I couldn’t resist giving them a Halloween makeover.
Our Peeking Halloween Coasters feature cute Halloween characters peeking around their pumpkins, with a mixture of fun sayings and applique designs.
They’re perfect for adding a little Halloween fun to your table, making for the kids or grandkids, giving to workmates — or adding to your Halloween decorating.

As always, they’re made completely in the hoop, and I have a step-by-step video showing you just how easy they are to make.

NEW – In the Hoop Inspirational Bookmarks
And for something completely different...
These new In the Hoop Inspirational Bookmarks are one of those lovely little projects that are quick to make but still feel special when you give them to someone.
They’re super quick to stitch — and if you want to speed things up even more, you can make two bookmarks in one 5x7 hooping.
Make them for friends, family, teachers, church groups, book lovers or little thank-you gifts — or tuck one inside a book for an extra-special handmade present.

NEW BLOG – One Simple Leaf… Look What Pam Made!
I absolutely love seeing the creative ways you use our designs, and Pam’s beautiful Christmas wreath is a perfect example!
Pam created her wreath using our simple Leaf design, layering the embroidered leaves around a foam-board base to create something really impressive — yet surprisingly easy to make.
So many of you loved Pam’s wreath when we shared it in our Facebook Group that, with Pam’s kind permission, we’ve put her simple instructions together in a new blog post so you can easily find them whenever you’re ready to make your own.
And I love Pam’s clever idea of attaching the centre decoration with Velcro — simply change it and you could use the same wreath for different occasions!
A huge thank you to Pam for sharing her beautiful creation and instructions with us! 💕

A Lovely Idea from Liz
Liz says she made these Swirly hearts to share with her great-granddaughters and “openly hide” on their walks for others to discover.
Such a sweet idea — a little handmade surprise left behind to brighten someone else’s day.
Thank you for sharing, Liz — I think your great-granddaughters are going to have so much fun with this!

This Week’s FREEBIE - In the Hoop Halloween Lollipop Holder
Nothing fancy with this one — and that’s exactly the point!
I wanted to make you a really quick little Halloween project that adds just a touch of handmade to an ordinary lollipop.
They’re made completely in the hoop using felt, and because they’re so quick to stitch, you can make a whole bunch without turning it into an enormous project.
Even better...
You can stitch THREE at a time in a 4x4 hoop!
Use up your felt scraps, change the colours to suit, or personalise them with the kids’ names for an extra-special little treat.
Sometimes the simplest projects are the most useful!
