I've been busy working on another of our Large Applique designs, and I'm so pleased with how this one has turned out! - Could be my new favourite!!

I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching these designs come together — there's something so satisfying about joining all those individual hoopings and seeing the finished design take shape.

Grey Wolf, White Wolf… or Halloween Werewolf?

Just like our popular Large Applique Horse Head, this striking howling Wolf is created using multiple hoopings, allowing you to make a finished applique that's much larger than your embroidery hoop, or with a 9x14 or 10x16 hoop, you can make him in one hooping.

And one of my favourite things about these designs is how much you can change their appearance simply by choosing different fabrics.

I've stitched my Wolf in shades of grey, black and white, but imagine the possibilities...

A beautiful pure white Arctic Wolf
brown or golden Wolf using different shades and textures
Or even a dark, shaggy Werewolf for Halloween!

You could use batiks, subtle prints, textured fabrics or simply raid your fabric stash.

Gift Box Inspiration from Lyn!

Lyn has been busy stitching our In the Hoop Reusable Gift Boxes, and I love all the different fabrics she's chosen!

What a lovely reminder that Christmas is getting closer!

Seeing Lyn's boxes has reminded me that I really need to get stitching too — I'm planning to choose fabrics to suit each of my kids and make them their own personalised gift boxes for Christmas.
