Our large applique Stripey Star Placemat is created using our join-in-the-hoop method, so you can easily make a finished applique design larger than your hoop with no additional sewing needed.

While we've used Christmas fabrics, this is a placemat for all seasons - Collect 5 shades of the same fabric to create the ombre look, or make a scrappy effect by using different fabrics for each piece

The eight points of the star are created from the same base, which ensures each segment is the same as the previous.  (Much easier, and far more accurate than making them yourself on a sewing machine)
