This is a design where the fabric is the star!  I’m sure you talented ladies will create some very beautiful and very different fans, based on the fabrics you use.

I created my fans to go with the Fan Fabric I used on my wall-hanging, so kept with the black/gold theme.   I could see the same wall-hanging made in delicate blues with some toile type fabric.

As always with these large applique designs, once you have made your Fan, they can be added to cushions, bags – they would make fantastic Placemats, or a beautiful Table Runner. 

I’ve created the Fans in our usual 3 hooping style, plus the whole fan in one hoop style – this gives you plenty of scope to create different sizes, no matter your hoop size.
